Snatch Blocks

High-capacity snatched blocks (15 to 137.5 UStons) featuring safety anchor shackles. Includes data for both 1 and 2 sheave models, optimized for quick rope entry.

High-Capacity Load Management: Industrial Snatch Blocks

Snatch Blocks (VB Series) are heavy-duty rigging components designed for temporary or permanent line redirection. These blocks feature an opening side plate that allows for the quick insertion of wire rope without the need for threading or dismantling the end-fitting. Each unit is supplied with a safety anchor shackle included as standard for secure attachment.

Engineering and Safety Standards
  • Structural Safety Factor: All snatch blocks are engineered to provide a Minimum Ultimate Strength equal to four times the Working Load Limit (4 X WLL).
  • Load Capacity: Working Load Limits (WLL) for standard models range from 15 UStons up to 137.5 UStons.
  • Bearing Options: Units are standard-fitted with bronze bearings, while roller bearings are available as an optional upgrade for increased rotational efficiency.
  • Attachment Versatility: Available with various head fittings, including Hook, Clevis, Tailboard, and Oblong Eye configurations.
Advanced Configuration and Customization
  • Multi-Sheave Options: In addition to standard single-sheave units, double-sheave models are available for applications requiring increased mechanical advantage.
  • Rope Compatibility: Optimized for a wide range of wire rope diameters, starting from 7/8″ up to 3″.
  • Technical Accuracy: Dimensional data in technical tables is indicative; a definitive technical drawing is always submitted for approval prior to production.
  • Specialized Features: Models can be supplied with or without a dead end to suit specific rigging system designs.

Snatch Block Technical Specifications

The following table provides a selection of standard snatch block specifications. Please contact our technical department for full dimensional analysis (D1, D2, B, H, T, TA, TB, TC/TL).

Safety Warning: Always strictly adhere to the rated Working Load Limit (WLL) marked on the head fitting. The Minimum Ultimate Strength is rated at 4 X WLL. Refer to the comprehensive warning and safety guidelines on page 136 and pages 136-149
