Welcome to Associated Wire Rope & Rigging .
Provides specifications for HLS directional blocks (1.1 to 11 UStons) with bronze or ball/roller bearings. Designed for wire rope routing with a 180° wrap-valid capacity.
Horizontal Directional Blocks are specialized rigging components designed to change the direction of a wire rope in a horizontal plane. Engineered for low-profile mounting, these blocks feature a flat-base design with four bolt holes for secure attachment to deck surfaces or structural frames. They are primarily used in maritime, industrial, and towing applications where reliable line redirection is required under significant tension.
The following table provides technical data for the HLS series. Note that the WLL refers to the load limit on the head fitting at a 180° wrap.
⚠ Safety Warning: Always strictly adhere to the rated Working Load Limit (WLL). The Minimum Ultimate Strength is rated at 4 X WLL. Before installation or operation, consult the comprehensive warning and safety guidelines on page 136 and pages 138-149.
