Enhanced Rigging Security: Self-Locking Snatch Blocks
The Self-Locking Snatch Block (VBK Series) is a specialized industrial block designed for secure and efficient wire rope redirection. These blocks feature an opening side plate that allows for rope insertion without dismantling the rigging, coupled with a locking mechanism for heightened operational safety. Engineered for versatility, they are suitable for various maritime and construction applications requiring reliable load management.
Advanced Security and Safety Features
- Structural Safety Integrity: Every block is manufactured to a Minimum Ultimate Strength equal to four times the Working Load Limit (4 X WLL).
- Integrated Locking Mechanism: Snatch blocks rated for 1 ton and those exceeding 30 tons are equipped with a fixed trunnion and locking pin for enhanced security.
- Secure Attachment Standards: Units up to 30 tons are standard-supplied with a swivel oval eye, while models over 30 tons feature a swivel stud eye.

Configurable Design and Technical Performance
- Flexible Bearing Options: Standard units are fitted with bronze bearings; specialized alternative bearings are available upon request.
- Head Fitting Versatility: These blocks can be supplied with a swivel hook, swivel stud eye, or swivel jaw to meet diverse rigging requirements.
- Rope and Reeving Customization: Sheave grooves can be adjusted for specific wire rope diameters, and models can be ordered with an integrated becket (changing the final stock number digit to 1).
- Extensive Capacity Range: Standard VBK models support Working Load Limits (WLL) ranging from 1.1 UStons up to 44.1 UStons.
